"After the head has been chopped off, will It still be able to hear, at least for a moment , the sound of the blood gushing from its neck?"
Ekaterina loved to tend her plants, she loved it so much to the point that nurturing her garden has become somewhat an unhealthy obsession. Perhaps it is a refuge for her after a prolong period abuse since her childhood, where plants were the only ones that listened to her cry and agony. Perhaps, it was fortunate for her that her desire for gardening and green thumb allowed more opportunity to express her passion. She wanted to see if plants could grow on human, seeing that trees and flowers blooms on the place where the dead lies. Her first unfortunate victim was her abusive husband, who one day, after beating her and passing out drunk, had his throat sliced. She dissected his body and used the parts as short of flowering pots, experimenting with different design until she concluded that the brain was the best for growing plant, due to its absorbing and watery compositions. The discovery got her excited and from there on, she embarked on a journey to create more human plants to fill her garden, and perhaps, enrich her botany collection as well.
The police are questioning local farmers about the increase disappearance of people from nearby town, citing that the trail ended up into this village. Most of them are men looking for seasonal worker, but the alarming number of 8 people just didn't sit well with the authorities.
Suspicions began to spread and the local hermit was apprehended for further investigation. As for Ekaterina....well, she'll continue to sell her flowers in the town.
